AES partnered with United Methodist Homes of New Jersey (now United Methodist Communities) in 2012 when new President & CEO, Larry Carlson, assumed the leadership role. We began with a staffing assessment of the Foundation team which resulted in new positions and reorganization. While a search for new leadership was under way, our team provided concurrent coaching for oversight and coordination of advancement activities—including fundraising efforts, philanthropic communications, internal infrastructure, policies, and practices, and special events management.
Simultaneously, we conducted a search for a Vice President of Development and Ms. Sharon Clapp assumed the role of Vice President for Development in September 2012. She has a depth of experience in board/leadership relationship development and management, as well as leading teams and units through change. In addition, the new CEO promoted others internally and reconfigured his leadership team.
Currently, our team is leading a search process to find a new Vice President of Human Resources.
We also provided Coaching and support to the Foundation staff on The Raiser’s Edge.
