Lisa Drake is the Executive Director of Life Stories, an agency encompasses both the CASA of Weld County program and the Child Advocacy Center of Weld County, Colorado. Lisa also serves as an Associate Vice President with KEES, bringing a multi-faceted approach to KEES clients by ensuring a broad approach to all hiring, with a particular focus in nonprofit, youth, and family services.
Under her leadership, Life Stories manages a $1.6 million budget and oversees two nationally accredited programs, making it the only organization in Colorado to house both CASA and CAC programs under one roof.
Prior to joining Life Stories, Lisa served as Executive Director for CASA of DuPage County, Illinois from 2009 to 2020. During her tenure, the organization successfully advocated for 100% of children in juvenile court in the county. She expanded the program to assist in probate cases involving minors and transformed the organization’s finances from challenging circumstances to a seven-figure balance sheet.
Lisa has extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, having held numerous roles in volunteer organizations before becoming Director of Membership and later Executive Director at the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce.
Her background includes creating mindset and coaching programs specifically for CASA staff and volunteers nationwide, presenting these tools to more than 2,000 participants across the country.
As a speaker and trainer, Lisa has presented at conferences and programs in Arizona, Illinois, Colorado, Maryland, Ohio, New Jersey, Missouri, Nebraska, and Louisiana, including the 2020 National CASA Conference. She is also a certified Life Coach, Integrative Coach, and meditation teacher.
