Ms. Tamayo-Calabrese, President and CEO of Naper Settlement, is a prominent Latina leader whose impact extends from law to museum management to immigration. Raised by Spanish and Ecuadorian immigrant parents, Tamayo-Calabrese’s experiences as a bilingual child inspired her advocacy for fair representation, which she pursued through a distinguished legal career focused on immigration law. At the American Bar Association, she founded several key initiatives for Asian, African, and Latin American law, and served as Executive Director of the National Association of Women Lawyers. Now leading Naper Settlement in Naperville, IL, she has transformed the museum into a nationally recognized educational center and museum, emphasizing her commitment to preserving diverse histories and enhancing community engagement.
Ms. Tamayo-Calabrese was appointed as the first-ever President and CEO of Naper Settlement in 2014.
